Dus een deel van de website werkt zo en een ander deel zo. Mensen zijn zo. We willen dingen repareren en er zijn veel MacGyvers die echt kunnen improviseren.<\/p>\n

Je zit ermee opgescheept als het door iemand anders gerepareerd moet worden.<\/p>\n

Zorg ervoor dat degene die verantwoordelijk is voor je website een soort van documentatie heeft en je kunt dit artikel gebruiken als checklist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het KISS-principe is welbekend: blijf weg van complexiteit.<\/p>\n

Er zijn een paar dingen die altijd gedocumenteerd moeten worden:<\/p>\n

  • Beheerderstoegang tot de server<\/li>\n
  • Analytics-account<\/li>\n
  • API-accounts<\/li>\n
  • SQL-databasegegevens<\/li>\n
  • Aangepaste CSS<\/li>\n
  • Afbeeldingen en video’s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Met uitzondering van de laatste is een fatsoenlijke volledige (systeem)back-up voldoende als je bedreven bent in het uitpakken en vinden van de juiste bestanden. Zo niet, schrijf ze dan op en bewaar een kopie in een cloudopslag. Er komt een dag dat je ze nodig hebt en de ontwikkelaar die de website heeft gemaakt al lang weg is.<\/p>\n

    Je hebt de gebruikersnaam en het wachtwoord voor de hostingservice nodig. Het is niet aan te raden om de websiteontwikkelaar deze te laten houden. Geef liever toegang met een andere account \/ gebruiker omdat je eigenlijk de sleutel van je auto hebt weggegeven.<\/p>\n

    Bij problemen met de ontwikkelaar ben je kwetsbaar voor afpersing.<\/p>\n

    Je hebt toegang nodig tot administratie, DNS en FTP.<\/p>\n

    Analytics-accounts kunnen worden vertakt. E\u00e9n account kan kinderaccounts hebben.<\/p>\n

    Nogmaals, als je van ontwikkelaar wilt veranderen, kan het een probleem worden om je kostbare gegevens te verplaatsen. Bij voorkeur een eigen account of contract.<\/p>\n

    De meeste moderne websites maken verbinding met andere services met een API-sleutel. Google heeft bijvoorbeeld hun gratis gebruik van Google Maps betaald gemaakt, waardoor een creditcard nodig is om een factuur te ontvangen. Als deze niet beschikbaar is, stopt de service op de website.<\/p>\n

    Zorg ervoor dat je een eigen account hebt.<\/p>\n

    De meeste CMS-systemen kunnen alleen werken met een database. De database is het meest kwetsbare deel van de website, daarom is een goede gebruikersnaam en sterk wachtwoord nodig.<\/p>\n

    Deze gegevens worden opgeslagen in (leesbare) bestanden op de server, maar nogmaals, als de ontwikkelaar weg is, kun je een probleem hebben. Wijzig bij voorkeur de referenties in de configuratie wanneer u van webmaster verandert.<\/p>\n

    Alle moderne websites gebruiken CSS (Cascaded Style Sheets) om de website ….. op te maken.<\/p>\n

    Het mooie van CSS is dat je overrides kunt maken, wat in feite betekent dat een ontwikkelaar wijzigingen in het ontwerp kan aanbrengen in \u00e9\u00e9n eenvoudig bestand zonder de code van de website aan te raken. Als je de CSS wijzigingen verliest, is de op maat gemaakte styling ook weg. Bij voorkeur vraag je de ontwikkelaar om child themes en override bestanden te maken en deze te documenteren.<\/p>\n

    Dit ziet er misschien vreemd uit omdat je media op de website staat? Dat klopt, maar meestal worden de afbeeldingen om prestatieredenen verkleind of gemanipuleerd.<\/p>\n

    Als je een fotograaf hebt ingehuurd en de ontwikkelaar heeft geen back-up van de originelen, dan moet je geluk hebben dat er ergens een kopie is! Anders krijg je een leeg frame.<\/p>\n

    Oh, had ik al gezegd dat je website is gecrasht en dat de verantwoordelijke er niet meer is of niet meer beschikbaar is? Al je waardevolle afbeeldingen zijn weg.<\/p>\n
